Rick and Mary Janet Maxwell
605 Edgewood Circls

This home's owners have spent years collecting antiques, even prior to the 1980 construction of their home. The living room features an antique cabinet displaying dolls collected from around the world. Mary Janet's collection of blue and white china adds a cheerful hue to the living room and den. The major ingredient in the warm and welcoming den is oak. The paneled fireplace wall and wainscoting are constructed of oak, as is the flooring throughout the house. The chest-on-chest in the dining room dates from the 1780's. The dining room table was owned by Mary Janet's grandmother. The room also features an antique French buffet and a crystal collection. The gorgeous granite countertops in the kitchen look up to date and make great work surfaces. Upstairs are bedrooms, a utility room, and a home office.

517 North Madison Street

The Thompson haome was designed by Leslie Boney and built by Smith Brothers Contractors in 1927-1928. An addition was added in 1954 by A. G. Carter Contractor.

A solid brick construction with inside plaster walls make the house a rarity in today's market. The house has approximately 4,000 sq. ft. of living space, oak floors throughout, fifty-six windows, four bedrooms, and four bathrooms. A large formal living and dining room, study, den, breafast nook, sunroom and a large back porch make up this home. The house has three fireplaces and the closets are all cedar lined which gives a special feature.

Christmas is a very special time at the Thompson home. A large Crhistmas tree is centered in front of the large bevel glass door, enchanting the outside view. Mantles are decked, stocking are hung with hopes that Santa will appear.
